Irene, this is fabulous. Love your idea of creating a scene inside a see-through ornament. Very inspiring. Beautiful colouring of those adorable Tildas. The fluffy snow flakes on the ground looks terrific. Love this.

Magnolia Advent Calendar 2013 - Day 6

Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to host today's Advent calendar for Magnolia, it's been something I look forward each year. Last year has been the most wonderful Christmas for me as God has given me a very beautiful baby girl, and now she's going to turn one, time flies.....

For this year Advent I already have a certain project in mind, it's been in and out of my head for some time, and finally I made it, and boy it turns out really nice. I really hope you like it.

q

This project started when I made an ornament for Magnolia Ink Christmas Edition #5-2013. It's an ornament using DooBeepops and Tilda.

When I got the latest Club kit, I immediately thought of making an ornament with Magnolia winter scene, Tilda having a snowball fight in a snowy hills with snowy trees as background. But how do I make them stand in a snowy hill inside an ornament? After a long and many many trial using styrofoam ball I almost gave up. Then suddenly the revelation comes to mind, why haven't I tried the DooBeePops? So I made a half ball using white DooBeePops and then cut them out until they look like hills, believe me it's very scary.

Then I colored and fuzzy cut few Winter Wonderland Tilda for the snowball fight, the snowball are standing on an acetate strip so they look like they flowing in the air, I also diecut some trees and frantage them. throw in a lot of 'snow' and........ it's done.

I think they look cool and gorgeous, here's the details:

Stamps: In The Snow Scarf Tilda , In The Snow Heart Tilda (Winter Wonderland 2013)
Paper: Neenah Kraft paper
Coloring: Copic marker E49 E47 E44 E43 E42 E41 E40 B97 B95 B91 E13 E11 E01 E00 E000 E0000 R20
other: DooHickey Lovely Fence, Slender Firs, Snowy Forest, Frantage shabby blue and aged gold embossing enamel, 14 cm clear acryllic fillable ball ornament from factory direct craft, blue ribbon from mayarts.

DooBeePops Honey Beehive

Hi Everyone,

Today I like to show you what I made using Magnolia's new DooBeePops. It's a honeycomb paper with lots of beautiful colors. I'm using yellow for my beehive. First I draw a beehive, then trace it in the DooBeePops, cut it out using scissor, split them into two, stick two sides together and voila..... a beehive.

Details:
Stamps: Honey Tilda (Raising the Ceiling 2010)
Paper: Simple Stories
Embellishment: Paper Flower: Kaisercraft; DooHickey Dream Tag, Rose Leaf.
Coloring: Copic Marker E49 E47 E44 E43 E42 E41 E40

Here's how the DooBeePops look from above:

That's it for now, hope you like it and inspire you to use DooBeePops, It's very versatile and the colors are so gorgeous, I can't wait to make another thing with it.

hugs from Indonesia,
