Irene, this is fabulous. Love your idea of creating a scene inside a see-through ornament. Very inspiring. Beautiful colouring of those adorable Tildas. The fluffy snow flakes on the ground looks terrific. Love this.

Magnolia Advent Calendar 2013 - Day 6

Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to host today's Advent calendar for Magnolia, it's been something I look forward each year. Last year has been the most wonderful Christmas for me as God has given me a very beautiful baby girl, and now she's going to turn one, time flies.....

For this year Advent I already have a certain project in mind, it's been in and out of my head for some time, and finally I made it, and boy it turns out really nice. I really hope you like it.

q

This project started when I made an ornament for Magnolia Ink Christmas Edition #5-2013. It's an ornament using DooBeepops and Tilda.

When I got the latest Club kit, I immediately thought of making an ornament with Magnolia winter scene, Tilda having a snowball fight in a snowy hills with snowy trees as background. But how do I make them stand in a snowy hill inside an ornament? After a long and many many trial using styrofoam ball I almost gave up. Then suddenly the revelation comes to mind, why haven't I tried the DooBeePops? So I made a half ball using white DooBeePops and then cut them out until they look like hills, believe me it's very scary.

Then I colored and fuzzy cut few Winter Wonderland Tilda for the snowball fight, the snowball are standing on an acetate strip so they look like they flowing in the air, I also diecut some trees and frantage them. throw in a lot of 'snow' and........ it's done.

I think they look cool and gorgeous, here's the details:

Stamps: In The Snow Scarf Tilda , In The Snow Heart Tilda (Winter Wonderland 2013)
